The Effectiveness of Training spiritual intelligence on Academic vitality and Psychological Well-being in Students of Lorestan Medical Sciences University

Backgrounds and Objective: Attending to Students Vitality and Alacrity because of Strong effect on Different aspects of life in these is important. The present study investigated the Effectiveness of Training spiritual intelligence on Academic vitality and Psychological Well-being in Students of Lorestan Medical Sciences University.

Methods: This research is a semi-experimental with pretest-posttest, Follow-up (1 month) and control group which was conducted in winter, 2014. In this study, 30 Students of Lorestan Medical Sciences University were selected by convenience sampling method and were randomly assigned to either control group (n=15) and or Training spiritual intelligence groups (n=15) and Demographic Questionnaire, Academic Vitality Questionnaire and Psychological Well-being Questionnaire  (PWB-18) were administrated as pretest. The experiment group received 12 sessions of Training spiritual intelligence and the control group received no intervention. At the end, post-test and 1 month later follow-up was administrated on two groups and, repeated measure method was used for data analysis by spss-20 software.

Finding: The results of the present study indicated that there were significant differences between the Training spiritual intelligence and control group (p<0.001). So that, in Training spiritual intelligence group increase the mean of Academic vitality and Psychological Well-being in post-test and 1 month later follow-up.

Conclusion: The results showed that Training of spiritual intelligence is effective in improving Academic vitality and Psychological Well-being in Students. Therefore, in order to improve the students psychological and Educational state, attending to results of such studies it is recommended to, attention to these variables during clinical trials with the goal of appropriate intervention will be beneficial
