Exploring the Students’ Viewpoints about Spiritual Vitality in Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences

Introduction: Spiritual health is one of the factors affecting the quality of life. Although many studies have addressed spiritual health among students, little information is available about their experiences of spiritual vitality. The aim of this study was to explore student's experiences regarding to spiritual vitality in Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: This qualitative study was conducted on 36 students of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences, selected purposefully. Data were collected through semi-structured interview and analyzed using content analysis.
Findings: By analyzing the findings, the individual factors and university atmosphere were extracted as the main themes among the extracted ones.
Conclusion: Students’ participation in cultural and charity activities and religious ceremonies makes them feel spiritual vitality. Thus, it is necessary to plan such activities in university to provide appropriate conditions for the development of spiritual skills in students.
