Background and aim: According to the verses and narrations, silence is one of the basic techniques to overcome anxiety and achieve peace. The aim of this study was to investigate the quality of the influence of silence in achieving peace.
Materials and methods: This study was conducted using the method of gathering information, analyzing and comparing opinions. In this context, the discussions are mainly based on Qur’anic and narrative sources, on the basis of which the role of silence technique in eliminating anxiety factors should be analyzed using content analysis. Moreover, the current study examined the verses and narratives and then discussed the role of such a technique in achieving peace, so that in a final step, the three domains of the technique of silence and its role in learning peace were clarified.
Findings: Many anxieties and disorders are the result of multiple communications with the outside world. The technique of silence can control this disconnected communication and create the prerequisites for peace. In addition to its negative role, the silence technique has a positive role and can achieve true peace by leading man to his inner self and connecting him to God through the path of worship. The three domains of the technique of silence are placed before things as sins, useless things, and useful things.
Conclusion: Based on verses and narratives, silence can eliminate anxiety and restlessness by eliminating external factors; it also plays an important role in achieving inner peace.
