Effectiveness of Psychological tranquility based on Islamic teachings on psychological well-being in shahed school Boy students

Background and Purpose: The psychological well-being is one of the important issues in the field of positive attitude. In recent decades, serious attention has been paid to it. Today, various definitions and also explanations of various types of psychological well-being have become widespread in the science world. Meanwhile, the role of positive attitudes in general and that of psychological well-being in particular must be scientifically investigated. Accordingly, the present study investigated the effect of training psychological relaxation based on Islamic teachings on psychological well-being in male students of Shahed schools.
 Materials and Methods: The method of current study was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design and control group. By available sampling method, Shahed male secondary school was selected and then among three classes of eighth grade 30 male students were equally and randomly divided into two groups- control and experimental and Cochran table and sample adjustment formula group and using Cochrane Table and the formula of sample adjustment. Reef questionnaire (1989) was used to measure the psychological well-being and data were analyzed using Covariance Analysis.
 Findings: There was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups except for self-determination and control over the environment.
Conclusion: According to findings, it can be stated that psychological relaxation based on Islamic teachings has a significant effect on psychological well-being.
