Introduction The promotion and development of traditional medicine along with conventional and modern medicine have encountered different achievements and challenges in different societies. The aim of this study was to assess the achievements and challenges of promoting and developing the use of traditional medicine in the Iranian Family Physician Program (FPP) from the viewpoint of managers and administrators.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted via holding 16 expert panels in 2017. The research population included the managers and executers of the implementation of the urban FPP in 28 cities of Fars province, selected by census. Data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed. Data were analyzed by SPSS 23 at a significant level of <0.05.
Findings: Among 347 people, 188 (54.1%) were male, 172 (50.7%) of them had a bachelor's degree. The subjects reported a total number of 341 and 41 achievements with and without repeatability as well as 415 and 63 challenges with and without repeatability, respectively. The most mentioned achievements included reducing the cost of treatment (65 cases), use of industrial medicines (52) and drug complications (50), and finally increased trust and popularity (42); the most mentioned challenges were the lack of necessary infrastructures (63 cases), profitability of brokers and non-professionals, low level of doctors' knowledge (38) and physician opposition (24). There was a significant relationship between the number of achievements and challenges with some of the individual variables (P<0.05).
Conclusion: This study showed that the managers have many concerns about misuse and lack of infrastructures required for the FPP in addition to hoping for the promotion and development of the use of traditional medicine in this program.

 Introduction: Nutritional health of family and planning to achieve healthy diet are one of the most important concerns of contemporary humans. With regard to the employment of men and women in outdoors and easy access to fast foods, the use of healthy food has changed. The aim of this study was to investigate the nutritional health of Iranian families and its changes.
Methods: In this study, 120 persons in Tehran, aged from 30 to 60 were selected using available sampling method. They were still using fast food, despite being aware of the losses of using it. Cronbach's alpha of questionnaire was 0.5. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16 in two stages using quasi-experimental method.
Findings: The status of prepared meals in the food program of different groups showed that employed men (58.33%) more than twice as many employed women (28%), employed single persons more than married ones, employed married women more than housewives consumed fast foods. Since the organization of a family nutrition in our culture is the responsibility of women, comparison of percentages showed that although married housewives less than any other group used fast food, in general, nearly half of the participants used ready meals despite being familiar with the losses of using fast foods.
Conclusion: The present study has indicated that women are less likely than men to change food habits. The nutritional health of Iranian families is threatened and subjected to McDonaldization so that the malicious propaganda also has an impact on persuading people to eat fast foods that need to be fought. Therefore, this study explains the need for healthy policies in this regard.

The recommendations were then compared with the scientific recommendations for health and self- care.
Findings: Islam pays special attention to self-care and health. It has highly scientific and perfect recommendations for self -caring behaviors. The religious leaders had always been into recommendations in order to improve followers' lifestyle. The medical facts mentioned in the holy Quran prove to be miraculous for the knowledge of mankind in those times.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Emotional intelligence (EI) is one of the important topics on which today's human beings have focused, but Islam has seen human life in different dimensions many centuries ago. Islam by providing precise solutions such as self-awareness, self-improvement and self-purification invites believers to control behaviors to attain worldly and heavenly bliss. This control of internal and external behaviors is the management of EI. The aim of this study was to investigate the EI status in religious teachings with a scientific and religious approach.
Methods: The present study attempted to investigate the concept and components of EI in religious and psychological teachings by relying on authentic religious texts such as the Quran as well as authentic narrative and psychology books.
Findings: The interpretation of psychology and Islam is not completely identical in explaining the EI. Psychologists have used concepts for explaining which are applied as certain terms in religious teachings. Another point is that in Islam, besides worldly works and improvement of life resulting from the EI reinforcement and behavior management, there is also a special emphasis on the Hereafter works, which itself is a reason for being comprehensive view of religion.
Conclusion: A careful examination of EI in psychology and Islamic teachings has revealed that Islam manages the emotions by presenting precise solutions and considers the Hereafter works in addition to worldly works.

 <abstract>
 Introduction: Regarding the prevalence of depression and importance of the role of the Quran in mental health, the present study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy based on teaching the monotheistic concepts of the Holy Quran on the mood of depressed patients admitted to the psychiatric ward of Hajar Hospital in Shahrekord.
Methods: According to the experimental studies, 30 depressed patients were selected based on the research criteria and randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received an 8-session cognitive therapy based on Quranic concepts and verses, and no independent variable was used for control group. Both groups were assessed before and after treatment using the Beck Depression Inventory (1961).
Findings: ANOVA was applied to analyze the data. The results showed that after intervention, the mean of depression was significantly lower in the experimental group than control one.
Conclusion: In general, it can be stated that learning the Quran's interpretation of monotheistic concepts can improve the depressed mood of patients.
