Background and aim: Islamic life-giving doctrines play a significant role in improving the health of the social environment, preventing crime, and reducing delinquency, as these teachings have a significant impact on health and give people peace of mind through improving self-control and cultivating a religious and faith-based lifestyle in social and individual interactions and life. For this reason, the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of religious teachings on crime prevention. Materials and methods: For this theoretical and descriptive-analytical study, materials from numerous valid jurisprudential and legal books and researches were collected. Findings: The conducted researches and studies show the significant effect of spirituality and religious lifestyle on people's social behavior and improvement of people's mental health. People's faith and religious beliefs and their religious upbringing can be very effective as a deterrent and crime prevention factor. Conclusion:In jurisprudential and Islamic sources, more attention is paid to the causes of sin and crime and prevention of crime and sin than treatment and correction. The style and principles of religious and Islamic prevention play a very effective role in crime prevention by influencing social, individual and community doctrines and rules. Teaching religious doctrines and strengthening religious beliefs are considered one of the most important factors in crime prevention, especially in Islamic societies.
