Background and aim: Human dignity is an important topic in the field of anthropology and has led to different approaches among different theological and humanitarian schools. In heavenly religions, especially the religion of Islam, and especially in the Holy Book of Muslims and the life of the Prophet and the infallible Imams, precious foundations of human dignity have been presented. The main goal of this research is to identify and explain the fundamental dimensions and components of "human dignity" through a systematic meta-synthesis study of previous studies. Materials and methods: This research is based on a meta-synthesis approach and its statistical population includes all scientific articles published in Iran on the topic of human dignity between from 2011 to 2023. A total of 28 research articles available in the Scientific Information Database (SID), the National Database of Scientific Journals (Magiran), and Irandoc were found to be relevant to the topic. The kappa coefficient was 0.87, and after various reviews and refinements, 15 articles were selected for the final review. Findings: The dimensions of human dignity include six dimensions: individual, social, acquired, inherent, religious, and organizational, each of which includes numerous components. These components affect each other in some cases. Conclusion: Human dignity is considered the main foundation of a healthy individual and social life. This concept, with a six-dimensional model (inherent, acquired, individual, social, religious, and organizational), shows that understanding and enhancing human dignity requires a comprehensive and multifaceted approach. Each of these dimensions, not only independently, but also in connection and interaction with other dimensions, determines the complex and dynamic structure of dignity.
