Background and Objective:
Improperly dressed, a destructive factor in mental health, is as a social problem. This phenomenon need to assess and explore carefully. This study aimed to investigate the causes of tendency to the improperly dressed (bad Hajabi) from the girl students’ perspective. Methods:
The present study is a cross-sectional study that has been done on 100 girl students of Babol University of Medical Sciences. Data were collected by questionnaire which prepared by researcher. Validity and reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by a pilot study and test-re-test. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Findings:
According to the study’s data, four factors with the highest propensity to improperly dressed from the girl students’ perspective are: modish 51%, attract the attention of others 45.3%, friend’s selection 43% and religious beliefs 39.5%. Students mentioned the other influencing factors tend to improperly dressed such as: the cultural poverty, lack of family supervision and stubbornness because of the university excessive rigor. In the response to proposed solutions, they presented such as talking about her great personality and expression of women's roles in the family, speeching the harms following of growth of corruption followed the veiling of women and the determination of specific uniform and dress’s mode from university.
Conclusion:
Regarding to the findings, the priority strategies for dealing with improperly dressed, holding the education workshops for the mission and philosophy of veil and it’s important, the answer- question meetings about the benefits and disadvantages of veil and decreasing the rigor in color and kind of dress and also encouraging to keep the veil in the commandments framework of Islam.
